What fun at Still Waters! Painting classes (smocks cost extra), drinks in the lounge and unlimited gossip with Norris. Could Ken be any happier? The answer is "yes". But Claudia and Freda seem to like the place so I guess Ken and Norris will remain inmates at the felicitous facility for the time being as they adjust to life under the regime of Charles, the controlling major domo.
Gemma is definitely having trouble coping with the babies (who wouldn't struggle with quads?) and considers herself a failure as a mother. Her postpartum drives her out of the house only to find that she has inadvertently locked herself out as the babies are crying.
Claudia volunteers to help Evelyn prepare for a date with an old beau named Arthur (I guess Still Waters is like Hotel California: "you can check out anytime you like but you can never leave.")
Anyhoo, the makeover doesn't work out and Evelyn is unimpressed with the result. Still, she shows up at her reserved booth in the Rovers (hard to miss the multiple 'reserved' signs) only to be stood up. Tyrone subsequently runs into Arthur and tells him to stay away and stop messing Evelyn around.
Alina tries to reassure Emma that she has no interest in Seb but all evidence points to the contrary.
Over at the House of Horrors, Geoff continues to play head games and goes missing while Yasmeen frets. Seems the maniacal magician is getting chummy with a professional lady of the evening. Alya and Ryan trick Yasmeen into a meeting with two police officers who have information about Geoff's murky past, but Yasmeen leaves before the cops have a chance to share their info with her.
Meanwhile in the "bad ideas" file, David Platt decides to visit Clayton in jail to tell him to stop seeing Shona and filling her head with lies. "Thanks, but no thanks," says Clayton. In other Platt news, Nick gives Gail a job at Underworld as Vice President of Mithering. So far, so good.
And now a line from the week that was:
Evelyn is not impressed by her makeover from Claudia:
"You made me look like a Chihuahua in a wind tunnel"
(I think she's barking up the wrong tree)

Well, cloistered corriephiles, so ends another week (albeit with only three episodes). I do hope you're staying safe and maintaining both your distance and your spirits in the face of bleak times. Keep watching Corrie and thanks so much for stopping by. All the best.
