Coronation Street Catch Up: the Señor Muppet edition

Your one stop update on what happened last week on Canada's Coronation Street...

It's moving day on Coronation Street.

Seems the harsh reality of Ray's repugnant redevelopment scheme is finally happening.

David is packed up and ready to move to the luxurious Dog and Gun Estate where both dogs and guns are plentiful. Gail whines to darling Nicky and he agrees to let her stay with him and Sam.

Down the Street, Sally and Tim are packed up and ready to go. However Yasmeen's house sale is stalled. Seems Ray is having cash flow problems.

Speaking of Ray, he's had a busy week. First he got beat up by impatient loan sharks and then he was taken down to the cop shop for questioning after Faye finally confessed to assaulting Adam in the bistro (sorry Adam) thinking that it was Ray whom she wanted to attack because he raped her (however she's not pregnant. That was a false alarm).

Ray's got problems on all sides. Roy is launching a last ditch legal challenge to the redevelopment plan. Deb wants to know what's going on with Ray's sex pest activities. The city councillor (whom he bribed) now wants more money to stay quiet. And, of course, Faye has made a complaint to the police.

Now that Faye has told the truth to the police and Tim and Sally, Tim is distraught and his anger is directed at Ray. He also wants to move to Spain so that Faye can have a fresh start but Sally says no. Faye apologizes to Adam for hitting him on the head with a hospitality award. Adam accepts the apology.

Abi, who is a constant crusader against Ray, manages to record an incriminating video of Ray talking to the planning committee councillor and threatens to release it unless Ray confesses to raping Faye.

In other news, Sean's son, Dylan, comes to visit after being suspended from school. Seems there was a bullying incident. Sean suggests that Dylan might come to stay with him but that now seems unlikely as the cosmetics pyramid scheme that Sean got roped into seems to have left Sean broke and owing money. Same goes for Gemma who is also locked into the scam pyramid scheme.

Yasmeen is back at work at Speed Dal but she's really not ready and still suffering from post-Geoff trauma. Elaine offers her support. Grace now plans to move to Hull to have the baby but Michael wants to convince her to stay by offering her lodging at the Bailey house. How's that going to work?

And now for a few lines from the week that was:

Kev to Deb re: Ray:
"You're in business with a sex pest"
(it sounds bad when you put it like that)

Deb to Ray:
"You're still letting your libido ruin your plans"
(so it's the libido's fault?)

David runs his lawn mower over Gail's footwear:
"Sorry about mowing your slippers"
(No problem. They needed a trim anyway)

Sally tells Tim she's not moving to Spain:
"You're on your own, Señor Muppet"
(gracias)

Council Planning Chairwoman wants more money from Ray:
"Let's call it my 'get of jail' card"
(if the truth comes out, it'll be your 'get into jail' card)

Roy to Ray as he enters the caf:
"You cannot come in here without a mask"
(but once you're in, apparently you can take it off)

Well Kabin fever Kolleagues, so ends another week. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the residents of Coronation Street will somehow be able to keep their homes. We'll see next week I guess. Thanks for stopping by and do stay safe.
