Coronation Street Catch Up: the bat enthusiast edition

your one-stop update on what happened last week on Canada's Coronation Street...

Rest in Peace Cormac, we hardly knew ye. No, really, we don't know who you are (were).

Apparently he's the son of the most dangerous gangster since the Krays. That's unfortunate because he wound up working at the Bistro for 10 minutes and then died of a drug overdose while hanging out with Rye-Ann (Michelle's waste of space/DJ son).

Unfortunately Ryan happens to find the overdosed Cormac and delayed calling an ambulance in favour of phoning Ali to help. Then the police get involved and they all have to concoct an alibi. Sophie lies to cover up for Ryan. Then Ronan (el grande mobster) shows up and things get tense.

David confronts Josh and isn't too happy about Rev. Billy helping out the visually impaired sexual predator. Ol' Davey decides to take matters into his own hands and finds closure in his encounter with Josh.

Sinead is not at all well and Beth is concerned. Angie may be warming up to Jude now that he's intent on becoming a paramedic. It's yet another lie. Jude can't stand the sight of blood but he's quite happy to extract 5,000 pounds from Roy under the pretense of paramedical study fees.

Brian snags a job as a schoolteacher and promptly gets bladdered. Peter tells Steve that he will not be attending the wedding, the subtext being that Peter is not pleased about Steve's pre-marital legover with Leanne.

Roy makes a joke:
"You know what they say about bat enthusiasts, they like to hang around together"
(Good one, Royston)

David to Shona and Billy re:Josh
"I'm me again"
(a mixed blessing, I would think)

Well, Corrie Commandoes, so ends another week. I don't like the look of this Ronan fella and I do think Sinead should get to A&E as soon as possible. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.
