Coronation Street Catch Up: the Hong Kong Stewie edition

your one-stop update on what happened last week on Canada's Coronation Street...

The aftermath of Rana's death continues to haunt people on the Street.

Carla finally tells Kate the truth about the factory roof and her culpability and then tries to do some good by offering the factory workers an option to do some packing work at a makeshift premises in the community centre. The workforce reluctantly agrees because they need the dosh.

Kate organizes a memorial in the Victoria Street garden. Imram continues to harbour anger towards Carla and wants to see her punished.

Elsewhere, Tim has suffered a mild heart attack and now faces a diet duel with Sally over new health conscious eating habits.

Chesney and Gemma are not getting along that well due to Gemma's many quaint habits (aggressive toenail clipping, excessive swearing, plate licking etc.).The last straw comes when she breaks the washing machine and instead of buying a replacement, buys a disco light and smoke machine from that well-known reputable retailer, Hong Kong Stewie. However all's well that ends well as the smoke machine turns out to be fun. Make-up sex follows. Huzzah, huzzah.

Geoff plays an elaborate practical joke on Brian involving the cultivation of broad beans. Yasmeen is not amused and forces Geoff to apologize for misleading Brian as to how to successfully grow beans.

Over at Trim Up North, David caves in and gives Nick's partner in crime (Natalie) a job at the barbershop. Leanne is confused as Natalie was previously introduced as Nick's lawyer but is now falsely revealed as Nick's hair transplant consultant turned hairdresser. Follicle follies will no doubt ensue.

Roy heads to Southampton to do further research on his mother's mystery ring and also to escape his conflicted feelings for Carla, a nice lass who's done some bad things and lied about them.

And now for a few lines from the week that was:

Natalie explains to Leanne how she knows so much about Nick:
"We don't just talk follicles"
(man buns are also discussed)

David offers to help with Nick's thinning hair:
"I could always give you a Donald Trump"
(Hmm, maybe a Melania Trump would work better)

David explains his job to Nick:
"I shape peoples' destinies"
(but mostly their ear hair)

Tim's text to Sally:
"In Roy's. Having a salad"
(Sure. Pull the other one)

Joseph tells Chesney how Gemma helps him improve his math on the way to school:
"We play count the dog poos"
(call it excre-mental arithmetic)

Geoff gives Brian a mantra to shout at his beans:
"I am Brian, garden supreme
Me and my beans are a winning team"
(that should produce a bumper harvest)

Well, Bistro Buddies, so ends another week. I'm not sure if Imram is angry or just has a bad case of indigestion. It's hard to tell from his acting. Oh well, thanks as always for stopping by. Have a great week and all the best. Cheers!
