Coronation Street Catch Up: the Rachel Finetime Escorts edition

your one-stop update on what happened last week on Canada's Coronation Street...

If you ask me, that King Charles (of the shire known as the kingdom of Still Waters) is going to be dethroned and Sir Kenneth of Weatherfield is just the man to do it (that's enough of the faux Arthurian legend bull. Get on with it - editor).

In other words, Ken's preliminary discoveries (i.e. no resident's guide, no written down rules, no fee structure for doggy pee etc.) lead him to believe that Charles is running an old age autocracy at the retirement residence. The investigation continues...

Elsewhere, Emma wants Seb to leave the flat for harbouring and concealing his true feelings for Alina. Meanwhile David (in full blown self destruct mode), seeks a divorce from Shona, narrowly evades a mob of yobbos and continues to try it on with Alina. Gail is beside herself with worry.

Good news! Baby Aled gets fitted with a hearing aid and Chesney is delighted. Gemma? Not so much. Seems she's still trying to cope and only Bernie seems to be aware of her struggles.

Over at the House of Horrors, Geoff's lies seem to be catching up with him. First, Yasmeen discovers that he didn't book a hotel in Spain for Zeedan's wedding. Second, while snooping on Geoff's computer, she also discovers that he has been a regular customer of the Rachel Finetime Escort Service (slogan: "we guarantee you a fine time, every time - or your money back").

Ghastly Geoff insists that this is just research for his radio show (yes, sick people at the hospital are anxious to learn about the medical advances in prostitution therapy).

Yasmeen decides to leave and go to Spain without Geoff, but Geoff refuses to let her leave the house. Uh oh.

And now for a few lines from the week that was:

Tracy to Emma:
"My heart is solid granite"
(like a kitchen backsplash)

Alina is not interested in David's flirting:
"Sleeng your hook"
(and "geet on your byke" while you're at it)

Geoff tries to guess what Yasmeen thinks of his emails:
"Sleazy Geoff paying for escorts"
(yeah, that just about sums it up)

Charles tells Ken the title of his talk:
"The art of deception"
(you could have fooled me)

Geoff to Alya:
"You really are a nasty cow, aren't you?"
(I wish Alya could make the sleazeball magician disappear)

Geoff's Internet search term:
"Rachel Finetime Escorts"
(our servers are here to serve you)
***
Well, fellow captives of confinement, so ends another three-episode week. The Geoff/Yasmeen story seems to be more nerve wracking as Yasmeen is starting to see the truth.  Let's see what happens next week. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you're keeping well and staying safe. Have a great week - even if it's mostly inside. Cheers!
