The good news is that Underworld has turned its manufacturing focus from knickers to PPE for the National Health.
The bad news? How long have you got?
Let's start with Gary. Got knocked over by a car while saving Sarah. Admitted to the Coronation Street wing of Weathy General Hospital. Got a visit from Sarah (what? no grapes?). Checked himself out of hospital and looks none the worse for the wear.
Except... he's worried that Sarah will spill the beans about his extra-curricular activities (i.e. killing Rick the Loan Shark). Adding to this is the fact that Sarah's statement to the coppers about the accident has more holes than a gopher farm - so you can see why Gary is so agitated and reminds Sarah that he knows all about the unfortunate demise of Callum so, like, quid pro quo.
Meanwhile Maria (bless her) is perplexed. Adam (aka Flirtus Maximus aka SuaveHeart) is very suspicious and grills Sarah about what happened.
Geoff-wise? More bad news I'm afraid. There's a ray of hope when Elaine (aka Philippa) meets Alya and eventually agrees to testify in support of Yasmeen (who is still recovering from a heart attack).
As Geoff's first long-suffering wife, Elaine has a powerful testimony to share about the Monster Magician but then she has a terrifying encounter with the Despicable DJ himself and suddenly disappears. All that remains is her cellphone which Geoff has and which he destroys. Alya and Sally report her disappearance to the police.
Geoff continues to hoodwink Tim (seems rather easy I must say) with bogus explanations but granddaughter Faye at least seems to be getting a tad suspicious when she overhears Geoff lying to the police.
And, the heartbreaking story of Oliver continues as Nick and Leanne find a special school for their son.
And now for some lines from the week that was:
Sarah is grateful to Gary:
"I know yòur dirty secrets and you just saved my life"
(He's a pretty good guy... apart from the murdering, loan sharking and factory roof collapse)
Gary tries to convince Sarah to stay quiet:
"We're all guilty of something here"
"We're all guilty of something here"
(yes, but not necessarily murder)
Tim insists that his mental faculties are fine:
"My brain's bone dry"
Tim insists that his mental faculties are fine:
"My brain's bone dry"
(maybe that's the problem)
Alya to the detective about Elaine:
"She was prepared to break 50 years of silence"
Alya to the detective about Elaine:
"She was prepared to break 50 years of silence"
(yes, so maybe try to find her...)
Geoff to the detective re: Tim
"He's not the sharpest knife in the drawer"
Geoff to the detective re: Tim
"He's not the sharpest knife in the drawer"
(that's a terrible thing to say about your son - true but terrible)
Sally, after Tim accuses her of trying to be a female TV sleuth:
"I don't think I'm Angela Lansbury"
Sally, after Tim accuses her of trying to be a female TV sleuth:
"I don't think I'm Angela Lansbury"
(more like Scott and/or Bailey)

Well, fellow socially-distanced skivers, so ends another week. If I ever need hospital care, I'm checking into Weatherfield General. They do great work on Corrie residents (and fast too).
Both the Geoff story and the Gary story continue to unfold... albeit slowly. Let's see what happens next week. Thanks for stopping by and visiting. Always a pleasure to have your company. Have a great week!
