Coronation Street Catch Up: the draining of the swamp edition

your update on what happened last week on Canada's Coronation Street

Ever miss your own party because you were busy shoving bodies into cement?

Haven't we all?

Anyhoo, ol' Pat Phelan has a little scare because the swamp on the building site is being drained and he needs to deal with the bodies which he put there. But Eileen is having a "Get-to-know-Pat-he's-not-as-bad-as-you-think" theme soiree at the same time. What to do?

Leave it to Pat to come up with a "concrete" plan. Now the bodies are part of the building foundation (shades of Callum in Gail's manhole) but there's only one snag. Pat seems to have got himself stuck in the cement. How will he ever get to Eileen's wingding?

While that conundrum unfolds, a couple of characters are back on the cobbles. Fiz is back and somewhat surprised to see Ty coping so well on his own (she doesn't yet know how helpful Sean and Gemma have been).

Moira is also back, much to Liz's chagrin. Zeedan catches Rana and Kate in full snog mode and Kate subsequently breaks up with Sophie. Daniel and Sinead seem to be a couple again.

Over at Tassels LLP, Bethany got her old job back but the new management are a little hard-assed. Worse, Bethany has a flashback to Nathan and injures a punter with a bottle. Fortunately for her, the charges are dropped.

Craig moves into Luke's old room but his OCD is a growing problem.

And now for a few lines from the week that was:

Hope to Sinead & Daniel:
"Get a room!"
(out of the mouths of babes)

Fiz to Chesney:
"We are getting trollied, then we're eating kebabs"
(sounds sophisticated)

Moira is perplexed at why Pat hasn't shown up at his own party:
"I thought the whole point was to stop people hating your husband"
(it'll take more than one party and a few canapes)

***
Well, Phelan fighters, so ends another week. Can Pat escape the surly bonds of concrete? Will the bodies be discovered? Will the new flats have an ensuite in the master bedroom? I guess all will be revealed in time. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.
