Coronation Street Catch Up: the Whambam Dating App edition

your update on what happened last week on Canada's Coronation Street...

The Connors are having a kidney redistribution. Aidan donates one, Carla receives one. It's all very uplifting although the hospital staff give Aidan one last chance to back out of the deal (aka The Terry Duckworth clause).

But no worries, everything goes well and both Carla and Aidan, and kidneys are doing well.

Things are not going so well for Billy despite the best efforts of caregivers Eileen and Eva. Suffering from withdrawal after Adam cuts off his supply of painkillers, Billy is reduced to begging his lowlife brother for drugs.

Michelle and Robert get engaged at the same time as Michelle's surly biological son makes his re-appearance  Yes, Dr. Alex is happy to quaff an ale with Steve but doesn't want to have anything to do with his Mom. Sad.

Little Liam knows that Craig is OCD but agrees to say nothing. Craig's problem causes him to miss a date with Bethany and he won't tell her the truth.

Eva and Adam break up because Eva finds him having it off with a slapper he met on the famous WhamBam dating app.

Boss lady Mona tells Phelan they'll need to drain the swamp to make way for more flats - which could be a problem considering the dead bodies down there.

And now for a few lines from last week:

Aidan to Carla re: his kidney donation:
"It's the best thing I'll ever do"
(certainly better than two-timing Maria and Eva)

Carla to Johnny re: Roy
"He has been a magnificent friend to me"
(here, here)

Audrey to Liz:
"What's this I hear about this new dishy doctor?"
(Just call him Corrie's latest FitBit)

Eva to Toyah re: Adam's one-night stand:
"Some slapper he found on Whambam"
(quick, swipe left)

Michelle after the fun run:
"That was more painful than getting me bits waxed"
(say no more)

Well, Corrie Colleagues, so ends another week and things are getting interesting on the Phelan Front.  How will ol' Pat drain the water without revealing his evil deeds? Hopefully the tide is turning against him. Have a great week and thanks for stopping by.
