Coronation Street Catch Up: the Curse of Richard Hillman edition

your update on what happened last week on Canada's Coronation Street...

Remember Gail's Toy Boy ex-husband, Martin?

Well he's back although less toy and less boy. As you may recall, Martin left Gail to marry a mascot. Now his new happy family is moving to New Zealand and David (suffering from the trauma of being raped by Josh) wants to go too.

Cooler heads prevail however and David decides to stay in Weatherfield even though psycho Josh lurks nearby.

Speaking of toy boys, Carla has added another to her collection. This time the lucky lad is Alex. Yes, Michelle's son.

No good can come of this.

On the crime front, Simon sinks further into delinquency by trying to steal Audrey's handbag with his junior thug pals. He is recognized by Roy but, with a few crocodile tears and fake apologies, he manages to weasel out of the trouble and reunites with his juvy buddies.

Poor old Pat isn't getting paid for his work on the new flats. Seems that pouring concrete in the rain to hide bodies doesn't meet the building code. It will have to be dug up and redone. Oops.

Roy tries to discredit Gail's clairvoyant however his Spockian logic doesn't quite do the trick and Gail still believes she is under the curse of Richard Hillman.

David to his kids:
"We'll enjoy New Zealand"
(just like the hobbits and the orcs)

Leanne to Tracy:
"Don't you dare call my baby thick!"
(they prefer 'Oliver')

Toyah, after seeing Oliver covered in semi-permanent marker:
"Oliver looks like a map of the underground"
(mostly the Circle line)

Pat to Eileen
"I just want another chance"
(... to kill someone?)

Well, patient punters, so ends another week. Sorry for the delay in posting, I was away for a couple of days. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.
