your one stop update on what happened last week on Canada's Coronation Street...
Leave it to that mastermind-in-training, Hope, to come up with a devious caper designed to scare the living daylights out of Ches and Gemma.
The pernicious plan came together when young Joseph was feeling neglected by Ches whose finances are tight (thus affecting Joseph's sartorial stylings, not to mention field trip funding). Anyhoo, Hope decides to step in and orchestrate the disappearance of Joseph to teach his parents a lesson.
Of course, Chesney and Gemma go out of their minds with worry until Joseph decides to return home, quasi-aided by aging hippie and (dead)beat poet Clint who seizes on the opportunity to escort Joseph home in order to claim a fat reward (Hope negotiates a cut of the cash, 'natch).
Elsewhere, Tim continues the charade of not telling Sally that he needs a triple heart bypass, although Tim does tell Peter and, of course, Aggie knows and receives a nice bouquet of flowers from Tim for her support. Too bad Sally found out about Tim's flower purchase.
Over at Speed Daal, the restaurant's good vibes are shattered when Zeedan and Alya are forced to tell Yasmeen the truth about the money laundering, Hashim, the restaurant fire etc. etc. Zeedan breaks up with Marrium in order to keep her from knowing the truth while an enraged Yasmeen kicks her two grandchildren out of the house. However, Yasmeen has invited Stu to stay in the guest room.
Summer seems bent on self destruction as she consumes large amounts of candy (despite her diabetic condition). And now she learns that someone has been taking upskirt photos and she is one of the victims. Of course, this is discovered when Max is looking at the photos on his phone.
(Tim's lukewarm on the idea)
Stu plays an original song for Yasmeen:
"Yasmeen, she ain't no has been"
(Ed Sheeran's got nothing to worry about)
Sally to Jenny re: her boyfriend's behaviour during the early stages of romance:
"No farting and blaming it on the dog?"
(no offensive smells to report thus far)
