your one stop update on what happened last week on Canada's Coronation Street...
Fortunately Dev carries a wide selection of pregnancy testing products in his store (Early Result, ClearBlue, Sprog Log, Baby Maybe) and even the popular Scottish brand, "Bairn there, Done that".
All that to say that Sarah doesn't have to go far to get a test kit and discover that she's (as they say in the Bible) with child. But (as they don't say in the Bible), whose child?
As you recall, Sarah had a brief, torrid affair with Damon while still fulfilling wifely legovers with hubby Adam. Adam managed to get rid of Damon by letting him know that a couple of gangsters were out to get him. Damon took the hint and scarpered.
That leaves the way clear for Adam to save his marriage - except for the fact that Sarah has this (as Al Gore would say) inconvenient pregnancy. What to do? Adam's solution is a DNA test to see if the wee bairn is his. If not, then Adam expects Sarah to have a termination. Sarah is going along with this plan but she doesn't seem happy about it.
Max discovers that he has not been dating Gav's girlfriend (phew!) but has instead been dating Gav's sister, Sabrina (hmm). Unfortunately, Max waits too long to come clean about his background with Griff (the terrorist) and Sabrina learns the truth from Alya. She is not pleased.
Gav is none too pleased either to learn about Max's past activities. Just when Sabrina is ready to give Max another chance, Max's white supremacist ex-girlfriend (Lauren) shows up looking for Max's help as she says she is homeless and insists that she's changed. Sabrina is not amused.
Roy and Evelyn continue to joust over Freddie the dog (and future BAFTA nominee). Evelyn clearly has feelings for Roy but is chagrined to find Roy and Yasmeen exploring cultural activities together. All that suddenly takes a backseat when Evelyn receives a phone call telling her that her daughter, Cassie, is in the hospital and Evelyn promptly rushes over.
Paul's family and friends rally round him as he struggles with his Motor Neuron illness. Bernie and Gemma come up with the idea of a contest to raise funds through a hot chili eating contest.
Kevin is back on the Street much to the delight of Abi and Tyrone. Guess they haven't told him about Aaron yet.
Elaine decides to try Tai Chi and Stephen reluctantly tags along although he would be a lot more interested if Jenny was taking classes as well (if you know what I mean).
Ryan and Daisy have another heated encounter with Ryan telling Daisy some home truths about her deception and the fact that she has hidden feelings for him.
Toyah has a heart-to-heart with Amy and seems to be a supportive influence as Amy continues to deal with the aftermath of her rape.
And now for a few lines from the week that was:
Daniel to Daisy re: the Crystal deception:
"At least everything's out in the open now"
(Well, almost everything...)
