I must say that Adam is one hell of a lawyer. He seems to specialize in everything: criminal law, divorce law, real estate law, slander.
No wonder Michelle gives him a dingle when she decides to extract revenge on Robert and take him for every penny he has. If you think you've seen this chestnut before, you have, back when Eva decided to extract revenge on Aidan for exactly the same reason (i.e. two women, two legovers, one deceptive male).
How did we get here?
Funny story. Roberto was in a car accident during his regular commute between legover partners. Michelle rushes to the hospital to see him. Later on, Vicky stops by. Yikes! Robert checks himself out of hospital but legover worlds are colliding.
Michelle follows him to Vicky's place and learns the truth. So does Vicky. Vicky is willing to marry Robert anyway (really?) Michelle says she is willing to continue with Robert despite his "one off" with Vicky but it's a ruse and now she's plotting to screw Robert (only financially).
Daniel finally returns to Weatherfield for Sinead's funeral after an extended visit to Scotland. Sinead's family is still pretty frosty given Daniel's absence and his romantic moment with Bethany.
Daniel tolerates the service and the wake at the Rovers but then someone breaks into his flat and steals his laptop with all the videos that Sinead recorded. Daniel searches the pawn shops and thinks he locates the stolen laptop and then goes ballistic.
Meanwhile Rev. Billy thinks that Bernie (new cleaner at the church) might be responsible for the break-in since someone stole his diary and there have been multiple break-ins at the addresses in the diary.
In other news, David and Shona plan to formally adopt Max and Lily and Rev Billy and Paul decide to get back together.
And now for some lines from the week that was:
Robert explains his innocent relationship to Michelle:
"I always slept on the couch"
(and chickens have lips)
Vicky to Michelle:
"Who do you think you are? Pippa Middleton?
(More like Kate, i would think)
Michelle describes Vicky's engagement ring:
"It was a cheap nasty little thing"
Michelle describes Vicky's engagement ring:
"It was a cheap nasty little thing"
(and the ring wasn't that great either)
Vicky isn't impressed by Robert's intentions:
"The worst plan by the stupidest man in the world"
Vicky isn't impressed by Robert's intentions:
"The worst plan by the stupidest man in the world"
(no argument)
Vicky tells Robert that Michelle was angry:
"She was ready to chop off your one good one"
(one might say the ball's in her court)
Michelle to Carla:
"I'm just sick and tired of men taking advantage"
(aren't we all?)
***
Well, fellow Corrie Champs, so ends another week. The truth comes out (finally) and now we wait for Michelle to hatch her revenge plan. I do hope Ken is okay and I hope Daniel gets his laptop back although I do wish he would take it down a notch and stop shouting the odds every five minutes.
Thanks so much for the pleasure of your company and have a great week!
