Steve pops the question in the Rovers and Tracy declines to re-wed the bionic sperm master despite his best efforts. Instead it's off to marriage counselling but that doesn't seem to be working.
The continuing mind games continue as Geoff convinces Yasmeen that she's an alcoholic and also takes away her credit cards and money. Now she's a virtual prisoner in her home cleaning 24/7 as Geoff continues his reign of terror.
Elsewhere Bernie's crazy plan to entrap Kel by pretending to be a boy online fails when the coppers tell her that it was a dumb move and Rev Billy agrees and is now worried that Paul won't be able to move on from his traumatic past as a victim of Kel. Back at Ches' house someone starts a fire while Gemma and the quads are sleeping.
More aggro at Weatherfield General as Shona comes out of her coma but fails to recognize David and, worse, thinks Max is Clayton (her son, the stabber). Roy tries to convince Nina to move out of her dangerous flat but she refuses.
Abi passes her GCE exams with flying colours and continues her dalliance with Handsy Ray but Kev is not amused by her tardiness at work.
Fiz manages to avoid jail time for buying that antique gun (which was ultimately used in the Christmas Day shooting) but has to leave her home temporarily so that Hope and Ruby can return home to Ty. Fiz remains under investigation in connection with child abuse allegations but Ty starts to unravel the truth and discovers the secret cellphone which evil Jade had given to Hope. Now Jade is planning an escape with Hope and is buying one way airline tickets.
Now for a few lines from the week that was:
Roy to Nina while playing chess:
"You wield your Queen with great dexterity"
(Is that a comment about Meghan Markle?)
"Tracy Barlow, will you remarry me?"
(it wasn't that great the first time, so "no")
Cathy to Yasmeen re: Geoff:
"He's a monster"
Cathy to Yasmeen re: Geoff:
"He's a monster"
(you got that right)
Gail tries to help interpret the doctor's prognosis:
"Do you know what "protracted" means David?"
Gail tries to help interpret the doctor's prognosis:
"Do you know what "protracted" means David?"
(Could you use it in a sentence?)
Bernie reveals her Kel entrapment plan to Sean:
"I've been posing as a 14 year-old lad on line to entrap him"

(This isn't an episode of Mission Impossible)

Well, Corrie cohorts, so ends another week. Someone has got to do something about Geoff. Frankly, I'm surprised at Tim. You think he'd have got wind of his Dad's shortcomings over the years. Oh well. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a great week. cheers!
