your one-stop update on what happened last week on Canada's Coronation Street...
As one considers the fate of Adam Barlow if (and when) Peter finds out that he slept with Carla, the immortal words of fellow Scotsman, Braveheart (aka Mel Gibson) come to mind: "Fight and you may die. Run, and you'll live... at least a while."
In other words, Adam may want to take the high road (or the low road depending on what Google Maps suggests) and get back to Scotland while he's still in one piece.
All this happened after Peter got mugged and his cab was stolen. This caused Pete to get back on the bottle. This in turn caused a rift between him and Carla. Carla, seeking solace over a crate of Chardonnay with Adam, has an ill advised one night leg over with the pouty Celtic lawyer.
Now Peter knows Carla slept with someone. He just doesn't know who... yet.
Elsewhere, Steve and Leanne have ceased to be a united front in support of Oliver. Steve is resigned to the fact that Oliver has no chance to get better. Leanne still holds out hope and, in desperation, decides she wants to sue the National Health Service. Her lawyers refuse to take on the case.
Summer is back but she's seems different. So now we have New Summer and New Todd. New Summer is not happy that Todd ran out on her and Billy but gullible Paul manages to mend fences and now everyone is chummy again... for now.
Tim visits Yasmeen in jail and apologizes for not believing her sooner. Yasmeen seems pretty Zen about things and quotes Maya Angelou. Tim has also decided to be a witness for Yasmeen at the upcoming trial.
Slimeball Bistro owner Ray offers Faye a promotion as a way to keep Craig quiet about his upcoming plans to redevelop Coronation Street.
Ty attends a cosmetics party hosted by Sean and agrees to a makeover. He ends up looking like one of those puppets on that old UK series Thunderbirds or Fireball XL5.
And now for some lines from the week that was:
Peter apologizes to Carla for his many shortcomings:"I'm like a leech"
Carla to Adam:
"Are you a shrink or a solicitor?"
