Do's and Dont's for prospective home buyers on Coronation Street

please note this post makes reference to the April 2 episode on CBC

After last night's episode, we decided (as a public service) to consult with Canada's leading real estate agents in order to provide the following handy list of do's and dont's for home buyers when they attend a viewing of a house for sale.

DO... remember to take your shoes off when entering the house for a viewing. Both the real estate agent and the homeowner will appreciate your thoughtfulness and it helps keep the house clean for other prospective buyers.

DON'T... use the house viewing as an opportunity to have it off with your gay lover. Remember: there are other prospective buyers waiting to see the house and the seller may not appreciate the fact that people were having a quick one on their carpets.

DO...sign the real estate agent's information sheet and provide your name and email address so he/she can contact you after the viewing.

DON'T... get caught in flagrante delicto by your girlfriend and her boss (who owns a beauty salon) during the home viewing. Home viewings should be restricted to a maximum of two people, preferably not engaged in an impromptu legover.

DO... take your time to look at all the rooms in the house as well as the yard and the basement. If you have any concerns, feel free to ask the selling agent. He/She will be happy to answer your questions.

DON'T.. rush out of the house without your clothes. If, for some reason, your have removed your clothes during the viewing, please put them back on before the next prospective buyers arrive.
