Coronation Street Catch Up: The Nativity Rap edition

your one-stop update on what happened last week on Canada's Coronation Street...

Call him Koronation Street's Kanye (North) West.

Brian's rappin' nativity script looks like a winner and the kids love it. Only one snag and that's workplace bully, Philistine Phil, who is driving poor Brian to exhaustion. In fact, Brian blacks out at school under the imperious rule of Phil the Despot.

Meanwhile it's all bleak for Sinead. Having skipped a couple of chemo sessions in favour of alternative therapies, she finally admits the truth to a horrified Daniel.

Aunty Beth reads about a treatment which might help but it's only available in an another country and very expensive. Beth considers stealing from Carla's safe but then decides on a better plan which would involve Chesney ripping off Dev through a fake holdup at the Kebab shop. Chesney is not keen.

Liz reconnects with her boyfriend, Mike much to the relief of jealous Jenny but that doesn't stop Jenny from using Liz's phone tracker to drop her in it with bessie mate Eileen. Speaking of Eileen, seems she found some cash which dear old Phelan stashed under the sink. The natural response? A sunny vacation.

Now, stay with me because here's where it gets weird. Leanne asks Nick to move in with her, without telling Toyah. In return, Toyah asks Imram to move in without telling Leanne... or Imram. Call it Four's Company or Legover Central. Let the hi-jinks begin.

Elsewhere Carla fires and rehires Sarah. Fiz takes Hope to Birmingham and Evelyn is staying with Tyrone. Cerberus remains Missing in Action. Hopefully, Scott and Bailey have been called in to track him down.

And now for a few lines from the week that was:

Toyah dishes the dirt on Nick:
"He got trapped in quicksand last year"
(and he didn't even finish building his castle)

Daniel to Sinead:
"No more daft decisions, ok?"
(Sure. Those smoothies tasted terrible anyway)

Evelyn to Fiz re: Hope
"Weatherfield's answer to Cruella de Ville"
(talk about the pot calling the kettle...)

Carla learns that Sarah has been disloyal:
"You're fired"
(...and hired)

Amy to Steve and Tracy after their clumsy attempt to set her up on a date with Aadi:
"This is the biggest embarrassment of my life"
(... and that's saying something considering her Mom served time for murder)
