Yes, this week's episodes definitely gave off a negative feeling arising from the experience of being human (or inhuman in the case of Geoff).
Let's start with the magical menace himself.
Ol' Geoffie-pop is surprised when Yasmeen gives him a call from the hoosegow. But surprise turns to nastiness when he learns that Yasmeen has received a visit from a woman in Geoff's murky past who seems to have suffered the same experience as Yasmeen.
Armed with this info and a book recommendation (Coercive Control), she puts Geoff on the defensive (for once) and unleashes a torrent of invective from the hideous Houdini. What's perhaps more stomach turning is the Krooked Kreskin's return to hospital radio where he spins his twisted tale (along with some records).
Gary threatens Laura, trying to convince her to smarten up and treat Kelly right or else face the wrath of Rick (may he rest in peace). Laura tells Adam who is cozying up to Laura in order to get the goods on Gary.
Abi can't bring herself to say goodbye to the twins who are imm..., er I mean, leaving for Australia. Although Seb is angry with Abi, he eventually seems ready to accept her decision and comes over for tea at Kevin's - which, by the way, is where Abi has take up residence (leaving Sally's place).
Daniel has another encounter with Nicky the prostitute. This involves wearing Sinead's sweater and perfume (Nicky, not Daniel). Enough said.
And now some lines from the week that was:
Mystery visitor to Yasmeen:
"Geoffrey is a walking, talking medical encyclopedia"(call him "Sickopedia")
Emma to Alina:
"You sound like you've got existential angst"
(Surely nothing that a hotpot can't cure?)
Mystery woman to Yasmeen:
"He might be the magician but I'm the one who did the disappearing act"
(David Blaine, eat your heart out)
Yasmeen to Geoff:
Yasmeen to Geoff:
"You're as funny as a car crash"
(and just as destructive)
Geoff tells his radio audience what he senses at the hospital:
"What do I smell?"
(a rat?)
Sally to Brian re: Geoff's return to hospital radio:
"Haven't those patients suffered enough?"
Sally to Brian re: Geoff's return to hospital radio:
"Haven't those patients suffered enough?"
(good question)

Well, faithful followers, so ends another week. We're back to afternoon viewing of Corrie (remember those days?) The Geoff saga moves along slowly but gets more interesting by the day. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great week!
