your one stop update on what happened last week on Canada's Coronation Street...
Why does Sean even need a car?
He lives (for the moment) at Eileen's. His (former) job at the factory is down the street and his other job is a couple of steps away. But that's not the point, is it? The point is that smooth-talking huckster Rhydian is dragging gormless Sean deeper and deeper into his scam pyramid scheme, selling cheesy cosmetics. And, to help with the ruse, Rhydian leases a flash car for Sean (no doubt another scam).
This despite the intervention of Todd and Eileen who try to tell Sean the truth, to no avail.
Elsewhere, Peter is ill but caregiver Steve thinks Petey is drunk and has no sympathy for his self-inflicted illness. Turns out Steve is wrong and Carla, who had her doubts, is wrong too. Peter was not drunk and hadn't been drinking.
As if Peter didn't have enough problems, he also has to deal with visits from Lucas who has his sights set on Carla. In fact, Lucas is hanging around Carla like a bad smell, trying to convince her to run off to Devon with him. Carla turns him down.
Looks like it's drug central over at Leanne's apartment when drug retailer Jacob moves in for a few days. However Jacob seems to be ripping off his boss, Harvey, which is never a good thing when illegal narcotics are concerned. With Jacob out of um "commission", Harvey's attention turns to Simon who is now completely caught up in the drug business. Can Harvey trust Simon?
Nina breaks up with Asha as she feels their relationship is moving too fast. A heartbroken Asha convinces Kelly and Summer to have a little recreational drug party which goes awry when Kelly takes a few pills and winds up out of it on the sofa.
Alina is upset by the death of her dog, something which no one seems to understand except Ty. Abi is not keen to accept Debbie's offer of a venue as she and Kev plan their wedding. Elaine moves in to Yasmeen's house.
And now for a few lines from the week that was:
Seb makes an insensitive joke about Alina's dog's last words:"A small wine (whine)"
Lucas to Peter:
"I want you to let Carla go"
Rhydian to Sean
"My tongue's the tool of my trade"
Rhydian to Sean again:
"You have got charisma with a capital K"
Abi is delighted to see a wedding venue where she used to go clubbing
"I can't believe I'm getting married at Beggar's Paradise"
"You're hitting on me"
Sean is told by Nick to move his boxes of cosmetics out of the factory, pronto:
"You make it sound like I'm storing weapons of mass destruction"
