Well, as far as I can tell, there’s only one possible solution to the David Platt problem. Since Nick slept with Kylie, David must sleep with Leanne. That’s the only fair way to redress the imbalance and restore family harmony. As the ancient code of Hammurabi states, ‘An eye for an eye and a legover for a legover.’ Now I know some of you will think this is a bit extreme and distasteful (like Leanne, for example – ed), but if anyone has a better idea I – like Nick – am all ears. Meanwhile onward with this week’s round up of some of the week’s memorable lines:
Kylie reassures David that he is the best male Platt:
“You are twice the
man Nick is”
(you mean two Nicks =
one David)
Sylvia disputes the merits of relaxing to whale music:
“I’ve no desire to be
serenaded by a watery mammal”
(So I guess Roy should
stop singing in the bath)
David terrorizes Gail by throwing salty snacks:
“Here have a nut”
(I believe she already
had one and his name is David)
Gail doesn’t like David’s nut-based attack:
“I think you’re
regressing”
(Actually I think he’s
already gone as far back as he can)
David explains his bizarre treatment of Gail to Kylie:
“She dropped her
nuts”
(As opposed to David
who’s off his nut)
Sylvia explains Roy’s attempt at somnambulist cooking:
“An unfortunate
incident with an incinerated steak and kidney pie”
(say no more, we’ve
all been there)
Roy is unhappy with Hailey’s attempts to help:
“Et tu Hailey”
(one could say, veni, vidi,
sleepwalky)
Gail complains to Nick about her treatment while just trying
to help :
“Why am I always
getting it in the neck?”
(Some Gail, some neck)

Well, faithful followers of Corrie, that's it for another week on the Street. I am blogging from an undisclosed remote location (jail? - ed) due to annual summer skiving but am going to extreme lengths to ensure continued viewing of Corrie (switching on a TV? - ed). Have a great weekend and thanks so much for stopping by. See you here next week. Cheers!
