A mug from your kids? $7.99
A birthday card from Sophie Webster? $3.00
Having a dozen punters jump out from behind the couch to yell "surprise!" while you're trying it on with Stella? Priceless.
Ah well. Into every life, a little Dev must fall. Cheer up, it could be worse. You could have just clocked Feelin' (er, I believe that's Phelan - ed) with a two by four (er, I believe that's a three by two - ed).
Onward with some lines from last week.
Liz expounds on her traditional relationship preferences:
"I'm an old fashioned girl"
(circa 1900)
Sally reminds Tim of the dress code for Dev's party:
"casual not scruffy"
(He looks like a first mate from Mutiny on the Bounty)
Stella proposes a toast to Dev
"Here's to being 50 and may good things happen to both of us"
Stella proposes a toast to Dev
"Here's to being 50 and may good things happen to both of us"
(well, one of us anyway)
Peter reassures Tina:
"I have massive respect for you"
(so that's what the kids are calling it these days)
"He's like Gollum without the personality"
(ouch, that's an insult to Gollum)
Eileen describes Liz's dating style:
"She doesn't have landing, she has a waiting room"
Eileen describes Liz's dating style:
"She doesn't have landing, she has a waiting room"
(Next!)
Carla is determined to cook for Peter:
"I have been Googling Indonesian cuisine"
(better Google 'Indonesian antidote' while you're at it)
Liz warns Tina about Peter (again):
"He is a selfish, lying alcoholic"
(you left out 'bigamist')

Well, lovers of Corrie, that's it for another week. Let's hope Gary and Owen can find a way to deal with Phelan - that does not involve assault and battery. I have to say I'm not crazy about either Jason's Dad or Kal's Dad. They both seem cut from the same cloth and I don't find either character that interesting. And of course, there's Peter Barlow.
Don't even get me started!
I'm hoping for some good story lines to begin soon. Seems we've had a bit of a letdown following the Roy/Hayley saga. Anyhow. Have a great week and thanks so much for stopping by. Cheers!
