Coronation Street TGIF: the 'no room at the inn for vicar & boyfriend' edition

a look back at last week on Canada's Coronation Street

Looks like Michael and Gail should have stayed in Spain. Plattland is in turmoil... again. David has run off with the kids. Callum is getting violent and impatient. Sarah is having a legover with Callum anyway. Nick is going to be a Dad thanks to Erica's miracle pregnancy.

In the non-Platt world, Todd reports Mary to the authorities and they tow away her camper van. Rev Billy has a crisis of conscience but Sean convinces him to remain with the church and hide their relationship. Sally thinks her graffiti is a work of art (It's not). Steve finds a dog. Ty, Gary, Luke and Roy form a Curry Club. Tony is having trouble writing a best man speech.

And now a a few lines from the week that was:

Erica recounts the circumstances of her pregnancy to Nick:
"That's what 3 bottles of chardonnay gets you"
(Six bottles will get you twins)

Sally tells bystanders that she's waiting for someone to look at her grafitti:
"I'm having my Banksy valued"
(shouldn't a doctor be doing that for you)

Roy is not fazed by the prospect of spicy curries:
"My mother always said that I had an asbestos mouth"
(It wasn't a compliment)

Liz tells Michelle that Tony is quite fit:
"Tony looks good in anything and nothing"
(that's an image I can't get out of my head)

Nick tells Sarah a home truth about her brother:
"David always does the worst possible thing"
(you should see his hair styling techniques)

Headline in the Weatherfield Gazette:
"No room at the inn for vicar and boyfriend"
(UnfairBnB)

Mary is upset after her camper van is towed and drowns her sorrows in brandy:
"Right now I could drain every St Bernard in the Alps"
(get your final order in; it's the last hound)

***
Well, Coronation Nation, so ends another week. Not that much to report, come to think of it. Oh well, let's see what happens next week as Nick and Erica prepare for the joyous event: the look on Gail's face. Have a great long weekend and thanks for stopping by. Cheers!
