Coronation Street Catch-Up: the sexy splashback edition

a look back at last week on Canada's Coronation Street

Is it just me or did Simon and Amy have trouble keeping a straight face as they stared at each other at the end of Friday's episode?

Not that there's anything funny about Demon Simon and his dark moods and violent behaviour. Leanne can't handle it and so now Simon is living with Granddad Ken, RobertAmy and her violin (an original Stradhilarious).

Elsewhere Kate isn't sure she wants to marry her soldier girlfriend. She walks out of Underworld (and away from a promising career as assistant to Kirk) but Carla talks her round. Leanne and Eva try some retail therapy to keep their mind off Simon. Dev and Erica continue to work together at the shop. Tony has left Weatherfield in a van after Liz tricked him into signing back the pub.

Alya is back on the scene. Luke continues to be blackmailed by scummy Jamie who is threatening to release x-rated pix of Steff on the Internet. Sophie knows that Luke is being pressured to race against his sister's wishes.

And now for a few lines from the week:

Sally tries to impress Kate regarding her upcoming nuptials:
"I was responsible for organizing a lesbian wedding"
(so you're the one)

Amy complains about Simon:
"He was trying to smash my violin"
(violins begets violence)

Eileen to Michael:
"You've never looked twice at my splashback"
(well, certainly not in public)

Mary explains the Kim Kardashian phenomenon to Norris:
"I think she takes a lot of selfies"
(mostly from the back)

Mary to Norris re: Dev:
"He's a serial philanderer"
(or maybe a cereal philanderer, we're not sure which)

Mary to Dev:
"I don't think Erica wants your hand upstairs or anywhere else"
(don't even talk to the hand)

Tracy to Simon re: Ken's whereabouts:
"Out with his skank"
(and she doesn't mean Eccles)

***
That's it for another week. Michael seems to be interested in a mystery woman who left her groceries in a taxi. Wonder what that's all about? Oh well. Thanks for stopping by and all the best.
