Coronation Street Catch-Up: the territorial urinal edition

a look back at last week on Canada's Coronation Street

Wait, let me get this straight. You're telling me that there's actually someone on Coronation Street who doesn't want a legover?  Looks like Craig and Caitlin are not ready for sex.  What a novel and refreshing turn of events.

At the other end of the spectrum, guess who's pregnant with Callum Jr? That's right, Sarah Platt seems to have had sex with the debonair Dog & Gun drug dealer before he met an untimely end in Gail's Manhole.

Elsewhere, Kylie thinks David may have pushed Sarah in front a van. Sarah's fine, resting in hospital and is surprised (yet again) to learn that she is (as they say in the yule season) with child. Sophie and Kate seem to be getting along well and Sally is chuffed at her lesbian matchmaking skill.

Carla proposes to Nick and Nick accepts. Michael is nominated for the Good Samaritan Award by a woman whom he burgled a few years ago (what? no Good Burglar Award?). Last but not least, Rob is seething in jail. I wonder if he's met Jim McDonald yet?

And now for some lines from the week that was:

Carla to Nick after they become engaged
"I'm not the easiest of women"
(really?)

Michelle reassures Carla:
"Nick isn't Peter"
(Peter has more tattoos)

Sally to Nick re: Gail's cleaning habits:
"Gail can get very territorial when it comes to urinals"
(She puts the 'I' in urinal)

Beth tells Caitlin about the birth of Craig:
"It were like passing a bowling bowl"
(5 pin or 10 pin?)

Sarah asks Kylie if she knows about David's 'pet' peeve:
"Did he ever tell you about his pet rabbit Barney?"
(Is he in the manhole too?)

Michael tries to be nice to Eileen:
"I might get round to fixing your pelmet"
(whoa! steady on, this is a family show!)

Carla to Johnny re: the Northumberland industry do:
"It's so boring. paint watches it dry"
(ta dum dum)

Sarah to Kylie re: David:
"He's a self-centred manipulator"
(good hairdresser though)

Sally complains about the wine to temporary waitress Carla:
"too grapey"
(and, by the way, the Perrier is too watery)

***

Well, comrades of Corrie, so ends another week with Rob in jail, Carla and Nick engaged, and Sarah in hospital with a bump on the head and a bun in the oven. Looks like Gail is going to be a grandmother again! That alone is worth the price of admission. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week. Cheers!
