Coronation Street Catch-Up: Michelle's personal Brexit edition

a look back at last week on Canada's Coronation Street.

Well, well. I thought Rev. Billy was a man of God, not a man of Todd.

Much has happened over the past few weeks (during my annual skive-a-thon). Looks like Rev Billy has more than a few problems to contend with. He told Sean about his brother (Lee), but didn't tell Sean that Sarah confessed to killing Callum (according to Todd).

Meanwhile Todd trotted down to ye olde police station and boldly told the coppers that it was Tony who killed Callum. And, just to put the icing on the cake, Rev Billy broke up with Sean because he's now in love with Todd. Phew!

Elsewhere, it looks like Michelle is doing her personal Brexit by leaving Steve (who, like the EU, tries to convince her to stay). That was after Saskia (think Nigel Farage in a dress) and Will barged in and spilled the beans about Michelle's quasi fling with Will. Michelle's packed her rolling suitcase and that's not a good sign.

Leanne is back from Portsmouth and quits her job at the Bistro. She won't come back until Robert makes Nick a partner again.

Tim has turned Sally's conservatory into a microbrewery. Junior brewmaster, Craig, manages to get drunk and Sally returns to a welcome back beer bath in her brand new dress. The Windass clan seems to have reached an understanding on the eve of Izzy's court appearance.

Now for a few lines from the week that was:

Saskia tells Steve that she hired Michelle to be her wedding planner, not to hook up with Will:
"I paid her to seduce my husband"
(It was cash and carry-on)

Tim tells Steve that Michelle is to blame for their marital woes:
"That's wrong with a capital 'R' ''
(Hmm, could be time for a literacy tune-up)

Callum's mother visits Rev Billy' church and asks for his help with Callum:
"I would very much like to bury him here"
(certainly! cemented into a manhole or just a regular grave?)

Marion tells Rev Billy that Callum was a bit of a disappointment:
"He broke his Dad's heart"
(not to mention his legs)

Sally discovers Yasmeen's renovation plans:
"You're building a conservatory?"
(Isn't everyone?)

Billy describes himself to Sean:
"A gay vicar with a junkie brother"
(could be a new HBO series)

Michelle to Steve as she's leaving:
"I'm not hanging around to be your punchbag"
(where's Lloyd when you need him?}

***
Well, faithful followers, it's good to be back and I apologize for deserting you during a couple of crucial weeks on the Street. I'm sorry to see Steve and Michelle split up but what can you do? As for the murder investigation, I think the Platts are managing rather well, all things considered. I don't think I'd be as chill if the cops discovered a body under my garage - and I was the killer, but hey, that's just me.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
