Coronation Street Catch-Up: the vote for Sally Webster edition

a look back at last week on Canada's Coronation Street

Cue the music from Morris Albert's 1975 hit single, 'Feelings':

"Phelan, nothing more than Phelan
Trying to forget you... slept with Gary's Mom" (that's quite enough - ed)

So that's the big takeaway from last week. Old Phelan is back working on Kev's work site with Jason - just a regular gaffer who lost his fortune and had some hard luck and bad blood with Owen and Gary. Of course, Anna is mortified since Phelan's indecent proposal still haunts her but she can't bring herself to tell Kev.

Elsewhere, Carla is in hospital after trying to pull her handbag out of a speeding car driven by the two yobbos (Jamie and friend) looking for revenge on Steff but arriving at the Bistro only to find the wrong person.

What was Carla doing in the Bistro, you ask? Trying to get Robert to back off from investing in the Bistro. Who was in the kitchen eavesdropping on their chat? Tracy, of course, who now knows about Robert & Carla's one-night stand at the casino.

In other news, Rita is using a tablet (digital not prescription) and discovers something alarming. Sally Webster is planning to run for council. Ken seems to be hanging around Audrey's salon. Nessa's son, Alex, is working at Roy's and Roy has toddled off to take care of his Mom. Gail wants to install underfloor heating in her granny flat .

And now for a few lines from last week:

Ken tells Audrey about his dull life:
"Amy's violin lessons are the highlight of the week"
(unless he has a root canal scheduled)

Sally finds out about Kevin and Anna:
"I thought he had better taste"
(well he did marry you, Sal)

Audrey is sympathetic to Andy's fears about winter sport:
"It can be very dangerous, ice skating"
(just ask Connor McDavid)

Audrey recounts her meeting with Prince Charles
"I gave him a bush"
(I hope it was trimmed)

Tracy tells Robert what she saw at the Bistro:
"Carla was there drowning in a vat of red wine"
(so, nothing unusual then?)

***
Well, ladies and gents, so ends another week. I'm curious to find out what Rita discovered on the Internet which seems to be so unsettling (porn? - ed). I guess we'll find out next week. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.
