Coronation Street Catch-Up: the 20 quid for oregano edition

a look back at last week on Canada's Coronation Street

You know it's dull on Corrie when Carla's online banking screen shots are the most exciting part of the week.

Still, let's not complain. After all, it's 'Tracy Time'.

Speaking of the She-Devil, looks like Tracy has exacted her revenge on Carla by getting the Queen C to agree to move to Devon (not Devon? OMG - ed), sell Underworld and cajole Nick into selling the Bistro to Robert - except Robert doesn't have enough cash. No prob, Tracy will just blackmail Carla into stealing 10K from Underworld. But Johnny knows Carla helped herself to the funds.

Meanwhile, Ken is using money from Simon's inheritance to help Leanne put in an offer on the Bistro. Tracy is not amused. Which offer will Nick accept?

Elsewhere, Eva is trying to help Marta. Izzy is desperate to buy some pain-relieving pot but winds up buying Oregano from an unscrupulous drug dealer. She then confesses to Gary. Mary, Liz and Erica are having a girl's night out.

Sally has been caught flip flopping on the campaign trail. Gail and Audrey are working out at the gym and Sarah has been called into school because Bethany has been skipping classes.

And now for a few lines from the week:

Sally assures Jason that she supports employment initiatives:
"I lie in bed every night thinking about job creation"
(hard not to when Tim's lying next to you)

Erica to Izzy after Izzy warns her not to be explicit when texting her dealer to buy drugs:
"I'll use euphemisms"
(try the Cheech and Chong emojis)

Izzy discovers that she was ripped off by the drug dealer:
"20 quid for oregano!"
(it must be organic)

Tracy to Carla:
"You're my bitch, babe"
(it's a dirty job but someone's got to do it)

Tracy to Ken:
"Now is Tracy Time"
(as opposed to Tracy doing time)

Tracy mocks Leanne's lack of funds:
"You get your hair done at the Pound shop"
(how much does it cost?)

Tracy is upset by Ken's betrayal in giving money to Leanne:
"More toast, Judas?"
(He's obviously not one of Tracy's disciples)

***
Well, Corrie colleagues, so ends another week. Why doesn't Carla just tell Nick the truth? Being blackmailed by Tracy is like a Wagner opera - it never ends. Oh well. Guess we'll just have to see what happens next week. Thanks so much for dropping by and have a great week.
